We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement manager to join our team. The Procurement manager will be responsible for purchasing within EP NL, covering all subsidiaries, including PZEM Energy Company B.V. within the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of procurement, including purchasing, fleet management, facilities, and insurance, to support our operational needs and strategic objectives. This role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement processes within the energy sector.

You will also collaborate with the group procurement of EPH headquarters in Prague. You will report to the CFO and coordinate closely across our company.

EP NL is a Dutch energy company with head office in Middelburg, focused on trading, supply and operating four state-of-the-art gas fired power plants. We are the third-largest operator of power plants in the Netherlands.

What are your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Manage the purchasing process for IT, equipment and services required for daily operations and project execution.

  • Assess and manage insurance needs and ensure appropriate coverage.

  • Oversee fleet management activities, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, fueling and disposal, to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Coordinate facility management activities, including lease agreements, maintenance contracts and space utilization, to optimize facility resources.

  • Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing agreements with suppliers/vendors to achieve cost savings and value-added benefits.

  • Monitor supplier/vendor performance and relationships to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service level agreements.

  • Prepare reports, analyses and presentations to communicate procurement metrics, cost savings and performance indicators to senior management.

  • Developing a strong understanding of the business and developing relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external);

What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Proven experience in procurement;

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management and supplier/vendor relations.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement, software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Education and certification in procurement is a plus.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong drafting and communication skills.

  • Accurate and result-oriented;

  • Service-oriented, enthusiastic, client-oriented and collegial attitude;

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
